Camiguin Island Philippines, one of the must visit tourist destination in the Philippines. The Island is located at the southern part of the country and it is also near in Bohol island. The Island features hot and cold spring, fine beaches like White Island beach, historical place like  the sunken cemetery, the popular festival of Camiguin The Lanzones Festival.

               As a brief history of the island, the first Spanish settlements in what was later to be known as Guinsiliban as established in 1598. Guinsiliban comes from the old Kinamiguin word " Guinsilipan" which means to look out for pirates from a "Watch tower." An old Spanish watchtower where the Camiguinous kept watch for Moro pirates still stands in Guinsiliban. Camiguin was part of Misamis Oriental until 1958 when it became a sub-province.               The Island is a approximately three hour ride from the city of Cagayan de Oro by van or any private land vehicle. The rent of van in Cagayan de Oro ranges to Php2,500.00 - 3,500.00. There was also a ferry ride from Cagayan de Oro to Camiguin Island.
